We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Basis Expert in Lahore responsible for the stability, performance, security, availability, and technical administration of enterprise SAP environments.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing SAP landscapes across development, quality, and production environments and will possess strong expertise in system administration, upgrades, patching, performance optimization, transports, security coordination, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer SAP ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, and related SAP systems.
- Monitor SAP system availability, performance, background jobs, work processes, interfaces, and system health.
- Perform SAP installations, upgrades, support-package implementation, kernel upgrades, and patching.
- Manage SAP transports and coordinate releases across system landscapes.
- Perform client administration, system copies, refreshes, and landscape maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve system-level performance and availability issues.
- Manage SAP profiles, parameters, RFC connections, printers, batch jobs, and technical configurations.
- Coordinate SAP HANA database administration and performance activities.
- Work with infrastructure, database, cloud, security, and networking teams on complex technical issues.
- Manage SAP certificates, SSO components, connectivity, and technical security requirements.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery, backup, restoration, and high-availability activities.
- Support SAP interfaces, middleware, Solution Manager, Cloud Connector, and related components.
- Perform capacity planning and proactive system optimization.
- Develop automation for repetitive SAP Basis administration activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, system architecture information, operating procedures, and change records.
- Participate in SAP modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
- Strong SAP NetWeaver, ECC, and S/4HANA administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA environments.
- Experience with system installations, upgrades, patches, transports, system copies, and refreshes.
- Strong Linux/Unix and database fundamentals.
- Knowledge of SAP security architecture and authentication mechanisms.
- Strong performance-analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience managing production SAP environments with high availability requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Basis and/or HANA certification.
- SAP S/4HANA migration experience.
- SAP on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud experience.
- Experience with SAP BTP and SAP Cloud Connector.
- Experience with Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM.
- Automation and scripting experience.
